Blog about Twitter

In this modern world, many people communicate through social networking sites like Twitter. However, there are quite different when it come to in-class discussion compare to Twitter and Blackboard discussion.
In Twitter, you can discuss everything, more about personal or social purpose. Post something on Twitter and your follower can read it and reply it and share with you. In Blackboard, it's more about educational purpose. Students discuss their class homework or what project they will do. In classroom, a teacher teach his/her knowledge to these students and students reply back by asking or answering questions.
I think classroom discussion is better for learning purpose because in class, you can actually learn something from the teacher, if you have question, you can ask them to get immediately feedback. More importantly, face to face discussion can learn more because you can actually get lots of information for body languages. Also, in the class, teachers can make sure whether or not these students are listening and learning. On the other hand, Twitter and Blackboard discussion can't do it. People can joining and leaving discussion anytime. They can even watch TV at the time of discussion. Virtual world give them a opportunity to not focus on what discussion they are participate.

  1. Agree about how classroom discussions are better for learning: Being in the room forces one to exert brainpower and think about their responses.
