Modeling Reality with Virtual Worlds

    Virtual World is very familiar to us in this modern world. As most teenage will do, online video game is probably their favor. Even through parents always say don't play video game, we can't deny that there are many good things about virtual world.
    Minecraft is a game that establish a Lego virtual world for people to join and play around. According to the article "After Second Life, Can Virtual Worlds Get a Reboot?" Jacki Morie mentions that Minecraft is a place for kid to exercise their imagination and to connect with others. Kid can't go out play without parent's guarding and also can only meet friends with near neighborhood. Right now, they can play Minecraft and meet new friends all around the world. This virtual world give kid an opportunity to express their ideas and creativity because you can build anything in Minecraft and do something you are afraid of like jumping from the high building. Your friends can also help you with that and sharing happiness with you. This virtual world connect people together.
    On the other hand, in the article "I've Been in That Club, Just Not in Real Life", Dave Itzkoff don't like the environment of club and go back home with his virtual club. Virtual World is a comfort place for people, but that can be a wall to block you away from real life engage with real people. Some people fall in to virtual world and don't want to come out. These people make virtual world as their shelter, and prevent others get in. This is another way to be isolated. Virtual world give people an opportunity to avoid real life meeting with people.
    I believe one day, virtual world will not just be in the computer and smart device, it can be a real second life for us. People can actually live on it. People will go out and work for day, when they come back home and before sleeping time, they can wear a device and falling sleep. Then, that device will help them get into virtual world. That's how they begin their second life in "dream".
